We are a well-established, multi-company construction business based in Kingsbridge, operating across several sectors including building, development, and specialist services.
We are looking for a reliable and capable part-time Bookkeeper to join our team and take ownership of day-to-day financial management across the group.
This is a flexible, office-based position suited to someone who is organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records across multiple companies and managing bookkeeping tasks as they arise. For the right candidate, we expect this to take approximately 24 hours per week, depending on workload and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero accounting software
- Managing purchase and sales ledgers
- Bank reconciliations
- CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns
- VAT (including reverse charge VAT in construction)
- Payroll support (PAYE knowledge beneficial)
- Tracking project costs and allocating expenditure accurately
- Supporting general financial organisation across multiple businesses
