As a Deputy Safeguarding Lead you will join a respected educational setting where student wellbeing is a genuine priority.

Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you'll be at the centre of safeguarding across the college, providing expert guidance, supporting vulnerable learners and helping colleagues create a safe environment in which every student can succeed.

Location : Weybridge and easily commutable from Ashford, Woking, Staines-upon-Thames, Walton-on-Thames, Leatherhead and surrounding areas.

What you'll be doing...

Supporting safeguarding activity across the college and managing a varied caseload.

Working with external agencies, families and curriculum teams to achieve the best outcomes for learners.

Coordinating referrals, risk assessments and student safety plans.

Advising colleagues on safeguarding matters and promoting best practice throughout the organisation.

Helping shape safeguarding procedures, training and continuous improvement.

You will have...

Previous safeguarding experience within education, youth services or a similar setting.

A strong working knowledge of child protection legislation and the Prevent Duty.

A calm, organised and confident approach when managing sensitive situations.

Effective communication skills and enjoy building relationships across teams and with external partners.

Relevant safeguarding training or equivalent experience.
