Are you looking to build upon your existing purchasing experience in a dynamic, world-class manufacturing company? This position offers excellent exposure to strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and continuous improvement methodologies. You’ll play an active part in both ongoing production and New Product Introduction (NPI) sourcing, ensuring operational needs are met across price, quality, and continuity of supply. What you'll be doing: Purchase goods, materials, components, and services aligned with strict cost, quality, and delivery targets. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Conduct performance evaluations, monitor KPIs, and facilitate supplier communication across internal project teams. Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices using best-practice purchasing tools to drive commercial value and savings. Provide spend analysis, track supplier performance, and highlight supply chain risks or opportunities to the wider team. Raise purchase orders, manage business system data, and support new supplier setups. Actively embrace and apply the continuous improvement principles and tools to streamline departmental processes. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week on site in Coventry and then 2 days working from home. Salary circa £40,000 plus generous holiday, life assurance cover, health and wellbeing services (including private medical and dental). About You Self-motivated team player with a high-energy, "can-do" attitude who thrives in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across internal departments and external suppliers at all levels. Good planning, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure. An analytical mindset with good attention to detail when reviewing spend data and managing system inputs. A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and embed continuous improvement methodologies.
