Location: Hybrid, Camberley & surrounding areas with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent
Contract: 6‑month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm plus on‑call as required
Salary: £42,009 per annum (pro‑rata) for candidates meeting full requirements; 5–10% lower if not fully meeting requirements. Includes an 8% regional uplift of £3,361 per annum and a car allowance of £1,250 per annum (both pro‑rata).
About the Role
As a Maintenance Surveyor you will deliver repairs and voids maintenance services for properties in your allocated patch. Your work involves a mix of site visits and desk‑based tasks, collaborating with teams and contractors to provide high‑quality, timely repairs and uphold the client’s Empty Homes (Voids) standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect customer homes to assess repair needs and qualify repairs using knowledge of domestic building construction, HHSRS and schedule of rates.
- Raise and manage repairs on the bespoke Housing Management System, updating customer accounts through to completion of works.
- Identify and address hazards such as damp and mould promptly, ensuring health‑related repairs are not delayed.
- Maintain client standards for empty homes with first‑class quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with contractors, housing teams and internal colleagues to improve service efficiency and enhance customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with housing disrepair regulations and protect customer wellbeing.
Qualifications
- HNC in Building or equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience in maintenance and construction.
- Strong understanding of building design, building fabrics, lifecycles, contract performance and budget management.
- Excellent customer focus, communication skills and ability to interpret building legislation.
- Proficient with operational software for property management.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
- Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS and social media check.
