Fancy joining a renewable energy company as Site Manager? You will take full ownership of a leading AD (Anaerobic Digestion) plant, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially efficient operations. You will lead a motivated, high-performing team, driving operational excellence while maintaining the site as a benchmark for safety, environmental standards, and process efficiency.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will manage the full site operation, including:
- Feedstock planning
- Digestate quality
- Maintenance programs
- CAPEX control
- P&L oversight
- Performance monitoring through SCADA and remote systems
Your role will involve developing and coaching your team, implementing Safe Systems of Work, and ensuring adherence to ISO, PAS110, and OHSAS management standards. You will liaise with internal teams such as Compliance, Finance, and Commercial, as well as external stakeholders including hauliers, regulators, and contractors. You will champion a positive safety culture, lead audits, and ensure all regulatory and contractual obligations are met while maximising throughput and plant profitability.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, proactive, and highly organised, with proven leadership and man-management experience. Engineering or process industry expertise, NEBOSH certification, WAMITAB competence, and experience with maintenance systems and budget management are highly desirable. You should thrive in a hands-on environment, be comfortable working in a food waste setting, and hold a full driving licence with the ability to operate a forklift.
