Almost two years into an ambitious organisational strategy, this is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation as the Northern Ireland Advocacy and Development Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the organisation’s representative in Northern Ireland.
  • Explore and develop opportunities for delivery work in Northern Ireland, with support from colleagues from behaviour change, business development and commercial functions.
  • The scope of the Northern Ireland Advocacy and Development Lead role is wide-ranging, covering campaigns, policy, public affairs, and business and programme development.
  • Establish and nurture relevant relationships and partnerships, with support from colleagues across the charity.
  • Be the face and voice of the organisation in Northern Ireland, helping to raise its profile, improve its reputation, increase its influence and help deliver a broad range of strategic objectives.

Location, travel and work pattern

Home-based in the UK, with regular meetings in Belfast and occasional travel to other parts of the UK as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience in advocacy, policy, campaigns, public affairs, and/or development roles relevant to the charity/non-profit sector.
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and ability to work across organisationally with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to represent the organisation publicly and develop opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
