Looking for a varied office role with a friendly and supportive team? An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and motivated Office Administrator to join a well-established business. Offering a company car upon successful completion of probation, a benefit rarely found in office administration roles, this Administrator role in Barnstaple also provides long-term stability within a growing business.

Location: Barnstaple (easily commutable from Bideford, Braunton, South Molton, Ilfracombe, Great Torrington, Chulmleigh and surrounding North Devon areas)

Salary: From £28,000 per annum

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Fantastic benefits: 20 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays and typically a week off over Christmas (depending on how Christmas falls) plus a Company car upon successful completion of probation!

As an experienced Office Administrator the role requires you to:

  • Process incoming orders and prepare the relevant documentation.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries to the appropriate team.
  • Welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide general administrative support across the office.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in an office administration or customer service role.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Sage or similar business software.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and friendly approach to both visitors and telephone enquiries.
  • A keen eye for detail, with strong literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and contribute as part of a busy team.
