As an Agricultural Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of agricultural machinery, both in the workshop and out in the field. This is a varied and hands-on role that plays a vital part in ensuring our customers’ equipment is kept running efficiently during critical farming periods.
Duties:
- To work in a busy Service Department performing maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery.
- This work will often be done at customer’s farms ensuring plenty of local travel around the area.
Qualities:
- The role requires you to act in a professional manner and actively promote Ripon Farm Services with positivity and integrity.
- Through your knowledge and experience, advise customers on optimisation techniques for their machines, products and services.
- Perform routine maintenance diagnostics and repairs in the field and at the depot workshop when required.
- Complete all reports and administration required for work assignments on time.
- Understand manufacturers’ customer care process.
- Successfully complete mandatory training to support product knowledge and to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, Company Policies and Procedures, to ensure safety of all staff, customers, and visitors.
- Perform pre-delivery set up on new or used equipment and support service specialists when required.
- A driving licence will be required as there will be a need to drive company vehicles and agricultural equipment.
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment would be preferred but full training on products and systems will be provided.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday (8am till 5pm) with flexible overtime to suit the business demands, this will be seasonally, evenings and weekends.
