In this key role, you will deliver a professional, people-focused service across the organisation, partnering directly with key stakeholders in departments across the organisation, to drive success.
This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home each week. Your main office location will be St Helens but you will also travel regularly to the Liverpool and Warrington offices.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing ER cases, providing expert advice to managers, and ensuring alignment with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Leading on attendance management (including return-to-work and long-term cases) and supporting performance management, capability, and development plans.
- Supporting recruitment, retention, apprenticeship programmes, and talent development across the business.
- Contributing to People Strategy delivery, corporate initiatives, learning needs identification, and transformation projects.
- Partnering productively with trade unions and building collaborative relationships with leadership teams.
- Maintaining accurate HR data records, efficient processes, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality standards.
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards), or equivalent practical experience if not qualified.
- Proven experience in a People/HR Advisory role, handling a broad spectrum of employee relations matters.
- Strong background in supporting managers through performance, absence, and conduct processes.
- High level of IT literacy and confidence using modern HR systems and data.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent workload management skills, with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
You’ll join a collaborative, supportive HR function where your expertise will directly contribute to the People Strategy.
