Global technology & software product company operating in the observability and monitoring space, is looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join their Platform Team in London. You'll help build the distributed services that sit at the core of their product, ingesting and transforming data at scale so it can power a range of analytics and monitoring tools used by customers around the world.
Location: London (Old Street / Shoreditch). Salary: £90K - £110K basic, plus an extensive benefits package. Working arrangement: hybrid, ideally 2 days per week in the office, with flexibility considered.
What you'll be doing:

- Mentor other engineers while continuing to learn from senior peers across a global team.
What you need to bring:
- At least 7 years' experience as a backend Java developer, building complex distributed systems.
- A deep understanding of core Java, data structures and concurrency, not just framework knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-streaming frameworks such as Flink, Kafka Streams or Spark.

- Experience tuning JVM performance - garbage collection, CPU hotspots and heap dump analysis.
Why you'll love this job:

- A strong learning culture, with a structured onboarding plan and an ambitious L&D policy behind you.
