Based in Weybridge, Surrey this Travel and Tourism position is easily commutable from Walton-on-Thames, Addlestone, Chertsey, Ashford, Byfleet, Cobham, Woking, Esher and surrounding areas.

Salary: up to Β£39,714.22 FTE depending on qualifications and experience | Part time, 22.2 hours per week (3 days per week).

About the role: As a Lecturer in Travel & Tourism, you will deliver engaging Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, including Travel & Tourism, Conference and Events, Cabin Crew and Airport Operations. You will support students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress into employment or higher education within the Travel and Tourism Sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Travel & Tourism, Cabin Crew and Aviation Operations
  • Assess, monitor and support learner progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Embed employability, literacy, numeracy and IT skills throughout the curriculum
  • Support learners through personal tutoring, work-based learning and industry engagement
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, recruitment and college events

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree, HND or equivalent vocational/professional qualification
  • Relevant Travel & Tourism industry or teaching experience
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one with support provided
