When the products your suppliers make end up inside pharmaceutical cleanrooms, medical device manufacturing suites, and aerospace environments, quality isn't a process, it's a responsibility. An established, growing manufacturer serving highly regulated industries across the UK and internationally is seeking a Supplier Quality Officer to join their QSHE team. You will own the supplier quality process end-to-end ensuring every supplier meets their rigorous quality standards across all ISO certifications. This role is a mix of desk-based system management, supplier relationship management, auditing (including international travel), and internal quality work. The role is based onsite in Skegness and requires regular travel to national and international sites to undertake supplier audits.
Along with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, the benefits include: 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays), yearly bonus, company sick pay, and a Salary Extras Scheme.
What you'll be doing...
- Own the supplier approval process from initial assessment through to ongoing performance management, ensuring compliance across a multi-standard IMS that includes ISO 9001, ISO 13485, BS EN 14065, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
- Plan, schedule and execute external supplier audits, including international travel, writing up reports, raising non-conformances and driving corrective actions through to closure.
- Work closely with Procurement during supplier selection: assessing risk, reviewing technical specifications and making sure the right documentation is in place before anything is approved to supply.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and manage CAPAs, escalating poor performance and leading continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Conduct internal audits to proactively surface quality gaps and assess the effectiveness of existing controls.
What you need to bring...
- Experience as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and auditor experience in ISO 13485 with solid, hands-on auditing experience.
- A working knowledge of regulated supply chains.
- A science degree or equivalent experience in a supplier quality or quality management role, with the ability to work independently to tight schedules.
- A full UK/EU manual driving licence and genuine willingness to travel internationally to audit alone when needed.
- Desirable but not essential: internal auditor qualification, ERP system experience, GMP background, or exposure to validation.
Why you'll love this job...
- This is a role with real weight behind it. You're the guardian of a supply chain that feeds into some of the most critical, regulated environments in industry; your work genuinely matters.
- A profit-related pay bonus paid every January, 30 days' holiday rising to 33 with service, a 5% employer pension contribution, company sick pay, and a relocation package of up to £2,000 if you're making the move.
- You'll be joining a business that genuinely invests in its people, with a real track record of training, development, and promoting from within.
