This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional operating at manager level to take on a high-impact role at a pivotal point in the organisation's development.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will play a leading role in a significant finance transformation programme, strengthening financial governance, improving systems and processes, and enhancing financial insight across the organisation.
This position is offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the initial focus centred on delivering a major finance transformation programme. During this period, the postholder will have the opportunity to lead and implement meaningful change, support the introduction of new finance systems, redesign processes, and help shape the future operating model of the finance function.
It is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys driving improvement, influencing stakeholders, and turning strategic objectives into practical outcomes.
Subject to organisational requirements and the successful completion of the transformation programme, there is potential for an extension of the role beyond the initial 18-month period, at which point the position would evolve into a broader Finance Manager role. This second phase would focus on embedding and sustaining the improvements delivered through the transformation programme, providing leadership and stability within the finance team, developing colleagues, and strengthening relationships across the organisation.
The post therefore offers a unique opportunity to lead a significant change programme while also providing the potential to progress into a longer-term Finance Manager position, making it ideally suited to a candidate who can both deliver transformation and ensure its lasting success.
