A growing FMCG group based in Co. Down is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for financial reporting, commercial insight, and operational support across a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders to drive performance, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and performance analysis
- Oversee balance sheet integrity, controls, and audit processes
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to drive profitability and efficiency
- Analyse margins, costs, and product performance
- Monitor cashflow, working capital, and treasury activities
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Drive process improvements, systems enhancements, and reporting efficiencies
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within FMCG or a high-volume environment
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and strong systems experience (ERP exposure beneficial)
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
