Overview

The organisation is entering a period of growth and investment, strengthening its Quality Engineering capability to support consistent, reliable software delivery. We are seeking a Senior Technical Quality Engineer with strong test automation expertise to contribute to building, maintaining, and optimising automated testing across back-end systems.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on building robust automation frameworks, improving test processes, supporting performance and security testing, and ensuring high-quality delivery throughout the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage test data, batches, and pipelines for back-end services
  • Build, enhance, and maintain test automation tooling and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of BDD, ideally with some experience using reqnroll
  • Support and contribute to performance and security testing practices
  • Identify issues early and propose practical solutions to improve quality
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless delivery

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience in test automation. You won't be carving out frameworks from scratch here, but you'll need a basic understanding of code (likely C#)
  • Proven background in test automation within back-end systems
  • Technical experience with:
    • SQL
    • .NET
    • Python
    • GIT
    • Azure DevOps
    • YAML pipelines
  • Experience in performance and/or security testing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and recommend solutions
