About the company

Our client is a part of a national Food distribution group which has depots throughout the UK specialising in the distribution of import, wholesale and distribution of Food.

The ideal Depot Manager

  • Provide inspired leadership for the regional depot.
  • Ensure all KPIs are met in areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and Customer Service.
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.
  • Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to deliver business strategy.
  • Introduce lean methodologies into the business, reducing waste and improving costs per unit.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations.
  • Build a high-performance team.
  • As part of the wider team, build an effective communication and engagement strategy for the site and deliver on this.

The Successful Applicant

The Depot Manager will be instrumental in the growth and development of the operations to ensure the depot meets key client deadlines and develops the team to prosper. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, have a good understanding of the Food distribution sector as well as Health and Safety processes.
