Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Lifeguard to work on a contractual basis. This role requires vigilant supervision of aquatic environments to ensure patron safety and prevent accidents. The position supports public health and safety standards in recreational or educational settings where water activities are conducted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor all activities within designated swimming areas during operating hours.
  • Enforce safety rules and respond immediately to emergencies or distressed swimmers.
  • Perform regular equipment checks including life-saving devices, rescue buoys, and first aid supplies.
  • Maintain accurate logs of incidents, weather conditions, and staff communications.
  • Conduct routine safety drills and participate in staff training sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Current certification in lifeguarding from a nationally recognized program such as Red Cross or equivalent.
  • Valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certification with current recertification.
  • Ability to swim a minimum of 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breaststroke.
  • Strong situational awareness and quick decision-making under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills for issuing clear instructions and coordinating with emergency responders.
