Role Overview
This contractual position requires delivering structured group exercise sessions to employees or members in a corporate or community setting. The role supports workplace wellness initiatives by promoting physical activity, improving engagement, and fostering team cohesion through evidence-based fitness programming. Effectiveness is measured by participant attendance, feedback, and measurable improvements in health and morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 45β60 minute group exercise classes 3β5 times per week, adapting sessions to participant fitness levels and preferences.
- Design and adjust weekly workout plans that align with wellness program goals and safety standards.
- Track attendance and collect feedback to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Maintain clean, safe, and functional exercise environments, including equipment setup and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with HR or wellness coordinators to integrate fitness sessions with broader employee health initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Group Fitness Instructor from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA).
- Minimum 1 year of experience instructing group exercise in a live or hybrid setting.
- Ability to modify routines for varying fitness levels and accommodate participants with injuries or limitations.
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence leading energetic, inclusive group sessions.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy, injury prevention, and first aid or CPR certification.
