We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Nursery Room Leader to work on a contractual basis. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a nursery room environment, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating space for young children. The position supports early childhood development initiatives and maintains compliance with health and safety standards. This work is critical to fostering foundational learning experiences for children under care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement appropriate educational and care activities for children 0-5 years.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, ensuring adherence to safeguarding and welfare policies.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure the nursery environment meets regulatory requirements for cleanliness, safety, and learning resources.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide consistent care and developmental feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent, with current Ofsted registration.
- Experience leading a nursery room or similar early years setting, with strong team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding practices.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement health and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with proficiency in record-keeping systems.
