Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool areas and respond to emergencies such as drowning or injuries with lifesaving procedures.
- Enforce facility rules to prevent accidents and ensure patron safety at all times.
- Inspect safety equipment, including rescue tubes and first aid kits, and report any deficiencies.
- Conduct regular safety drills and maintain records of incidents, inspections, and training.
- Provide assistance to patrons, including first aid and emergency care as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current certification in lifeguarding from an accredited organization such as Red Cross or Ellis & Associates.
- Proven ability to swim 300 yards continuously and retrieve a submerged object from at least 12 feet deep.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions and respond to emergencies efficiently.
- First aid and CPR certification valid for the duration of employment.
- Demonstrated physical fitness to perform rescues and carry out duties in varying weather conditions.
