Due to growth across their defence portfolio, they\βre seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to support end-to-end commercial governance, subcontractor management and performance reporting. This is a key role ensuring contractual compliance, robust financial control and accurate reporting across a complex Defence estate. Responsibilities include: Drafting, issuing and managing subcontracts in line with internal policies and MOD contractual requirements Leading commercial and performance review meetings with subcontractors Assessing and approving subcontractor applications for payment Ensuring timely and accurate payments aligned to contractual terms Managing Work in Progress (WIP) and ensuring accurate month-end reporting Supporting job closure and client billing processes Monitoring contract P&L performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities Conducting monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reviews Managing contract variations and change control Preparing and presenting commercial reports for senior stakeholders and the client Systems and reporting duties include: Using Maximo for job tracking and asset management Using COINS for subcontract management, financial tracking and compliance Maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready commercial records ESSENTIAL SKILLS Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management role within Facilities Management or Defence Strong understanding of subcontractor management and commercial processes High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Able to work collaboratively with operational teams and external partners High attention to detail and strong analytical capability TO BE CONSIDERED Please either apply through this advert or email me directly via .For further information please call / .By applying for this role, you give express consent for us to process and submit (subject to required skills) your application to our client in conjunction with this vacancy only.
