The Role
We are recruiting a Site-Based Fire Alarm Engineer to take ownership of all fire detection and life safety systems at a dedicated client site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on a single, fixed location rather than travelling between multiple sites. You will be the on-site specialist responsible for ensuring fire alarm and suppression systems are fully compliant, operational, and maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspection, and preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm and suppression systems
- Responding to on-site faults and emergency call-outs when required
- Completing minor repairs and fault rectification during service visits
- Maintaining accurate site logbooks, records, and documentation
- Submitting service worksheets, timesheets, and expenses accurately and on time
- Acting as the main point of contact for the client on site
- Escalating critical issues and supporting alternative solutions where required
- Attending training to maintain up-to-date product and standards knowledge
Systems You'll Work With
- Fire Alarm Panels including Notifier, Kentec, Advanced, and Simplex
- Voice Alarm systems
- Gas Suppression systems
- HSSD / Aspirating Detection systems
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm / Fire Service Engineer
- Strong working knowledge of addressable fire alarm systems
- Experience servicing, testing, commissioning, and fault-finding
- Able to work independently and take ownership of a site
- Strong communication skills and a professional, client-facing approach
- Detail-oriented with a strong safety mindset
