Ganger
- Salary: £35,732-£42,752 basic per annum (£15.27-£18.27 per hour), depending on experience and qualifications
- Location: Devon & Cornwall - ideally based between St Austell, Plymouth and Exeter
- Contract: Permanent, PAYE | 45 hours per week

We're working with an established civil engineering and drainage contractor delivering essential wastewater infrastructure services across the South West.
Due to continued growth and ongoing contract requirements, they're looking to recruit two experienced Gangers to lead small teams working across Devon and Cornwall.

THE GANGER - CIVILS & DRAINAGE ROLE
As a Ganger, you'll be responsible for leading a team of two to three operatives delivering civils and foul-water drainage works across residential, commercial and rural sites. xgikmsk
This is very much a hands-on role, so you'll be working alongside your team whilst ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating daily activities for a small team of operatives
- Carrying out civils, drainage, pipe fitting and reinstatement works
- Operating and working alongside excavators, dumpers and other site equipment
- Completing risk assessments, permits and relevant site documentation
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Liaising with clients, customers and site representatives
- Providing daily progress updates to supervisors and management
- Supporting reactive works and participating in a one-in-five on-call rota
