Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities:

• Support the estimating team with bids and tenders
• Prepare and submit cost estimates using estimating software
• Work with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to develop accurate estimates
• Analyse drawings and specifications to determine costs
• Identify alternative design solutions and value engineering options
• Manage tendering processes and negotiations
• Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
• Mentor junior team members and monitor targets
• Organise and control tender documentation

Mechanical Estimator Requirements:

• Experience with a Mechanical & Electrical subcontractor
• Proficiency in estimating software
• Strong budgeting and cost-planning skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
