The Role

As HR Advisor, you’ll act as the go-to point of contact for managers and employees, providing legally compliant, pragmatic HR guidance across multiple sites. You’ll manage your own HR casework from start to resolution, covering disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters, while supporting organisational change, recruitment, and onboarding. This role is ideal for someone seeking a long-term position where they can make a lasting impact, not a short-term stop gap.

  • Provide expert HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Manage a variety of employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support payroll processes
  • Monitor HR metrics such as absence and turnover, and present insights to management
  • Support recruitment campaigns: create job adverts, liaise with hiring managers, arrange interviews, and lead induction sessions
  • Advise on and promote employee benefits, including pension, healthcare, and recognition schemes
  • Travel to depots and sites to provide in-person HR support and foster strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Contribute to HR policy development, process improvement, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus scheme and long-service awards
  • 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays) plus holiday buy/sell scheme
  • Company pension plan and healthcare cash plan
  • Share option opportunities
  • Retail, gym, and leisure discounts
  • “Employee of the Month” and “Shining Star” recognition programmes
  • Career development through internal training, apprenticeships, and progression pathways
  • Supportive, people-first culture with a sustainability focus

We’re looking for a proactive, professional HR Advisor who brings:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant, or similar role
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience in employee relations case management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed
  • A commitment to staying long-term and developing within the organisation
