About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we're supporting a long-established family-owned business within the construction materials sector as they look to recruit three additional Concrete Mixer Drivers across Middleton, Rossendale and Westhoughton. This is a company with an excellent reputation for looking after its employees, with many members of the team staying for 16-17 years. Growth in demand and the launch of a new ready-to-use mortar product have created the need for additional drivers to support the existing workforce. This is an opportunity to join a stable employer that values reliability, honesty and long-term commitment.

The Role

As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you'll be responsible for safely delivering ready-mix concrete to customers across the region. You'll be representing the business on customer sites, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating a Category C concrete mixer vehicle
  • Delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites and customers
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures
  • Completing relevant delivery documentation
  • Providing excellent customer service on-site
  • Managing delivery schedules efficiently

Essential Requirements

  • Category C (Class 2) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good driving record
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Reliable and punctual approach
  • Comfortable dealing with customers

Desirable Experience
