About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we're supporting a long-established family-owned business within the construction materials sector as they look to recruit three additional Concrete Mixer Drivers across Middleton, Rossendale and Westhoughton. This is a company with an excellent reputation for looking after its employees, with many members of the team staying for 16-17 years. Growth in demand and the launch of a new ready-to-use mortar product have created the need for additional drivers to support the existing workforce. The Role
As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you'll be responsible for safely delivering ready-mix concrete to customers across the region. You'll be representing the business on customer sites, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating a Category C concrete mixer vehicle
- Delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites and customers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
- Completing relevant delivery documentation
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
- Managing delivery schedules efficiently
Essential Requirements
- Category C (Class 2) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good driving record
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable and punctual approach
- Comfortable dealing with customers
Desirable Experience
- Concrete mixer driving
- Tipper driving
- Builders merchant experience
- Construction materials distribution
- Aggregates, logistics or plant experience
