They’re looking for a detail-focused, proactive Accountant to join their friendly, close-knit finance team. This part-time role offers variety and responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on across a broad range of finance functions in a fast-paced, modern environment.
The Role
As a proactive, detail-oriented Accountant, you’ll be a vital part of a small, friendly finance team, managing key accounting tasks such as reconciliations, month-end processes, VAT returns, and credit control. This part-time role offers variety and responsibility, with flexible hours perfect for those returning from maternity leave, looking for work-life balance, or preferring part-time hours to fit around commitments like school pick-ups. You’ll work with modern cloud-based finance systems in a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Managing daily financial transactions: accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, journals, and inter-company entries
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing financial reports, variance analysis, and management information packs
- Maintaining and improving financial systems and processes
- Handling weekly cash flow forecasting and daily drawdowns
- Preparing VAT returns, intermediary reporting, and PSA calculations
- Calculating monthly commissions
- Managing credit control and responding to contractor, customer, and supplier queries
- Onboarding new contractors onto finance systems
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors
- Flexible part-time hours—ideal for those returning from maternity leave or anyone seeking work-life balance

- Confident communicator with good problem-solving ability
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure and adapt to a fast-growing business environment
