We’re working with an established UK consultancy operating across planning and the wider built environment. With a strong pipeline of work and continued expansion, they are looking to bring in a Planner to support a range of development and policy-led projects.

THE PLANNER ROLE:

This is a varied role offering exposure to both development and policy-related work. You’ll support the delivery of planning projects from early-stage evidence gathering through to reporting and input into applications and strategic work. You’ll be working closely with senior team members, contributing to the preparation of reports, supporting project delivery, and helping to build a robust evidence base to inform planning decisions. The role offers a strong foundation for someone looking to develop their career within a consultancy environment, with plenty of scope to get involved in wider project work.

PLANNER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Degree in Town Planning, Geography, or a related discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Comfortable working with data and drawing insights from information
  • Proactive and keen to develop within a consultancy environment

Desirable:

  • Some experience within planning (public or private sector)
  • Understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework
