We’re supporting a specialist communications and engineering company that works closely with defence clients, particularly across maritime and MOD environments. They are actively looking for ex-Forces candidates to join their team as a Project Manager, focusing on the delivery of technical projects on UK Government and Royal Navy vessels.
The business has a strong track record of hiring from the military community and is especially keen to bring in someone who understands how defence operations run, whether that’s from a Royal Navy, Royal Signals, REME, or similar background.
The Role
As a Maritime Integration Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of various installation and upgrade projects across government-owned vessels. You’ll coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and key defence stakeholders to ensure work is delivered on time, to budget, and within scope.
This is a great fit for someone used to managing technical tasks, people, or equipment in high-pressure environments.
- Lead multiple technical installation projects on maritime platforms
- Coordinate suppliers, engineers, and client stakeholders
- Produce and manage documentation including installation plans and modification instructions
- Oversee internal reporting, risk tracking, and project governance
- Support continuous improvement across the project delivery function
- Represent the business in client meetings and technical discussions
Qualifications / Experience
- Background in defence, maritime, communications, or engineering preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of MOD processes or military environments
- Comfortable working from the Redhill site (with some flexibility)
- SATCOM or comms system experience is useful but not essential
