Y4 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School – Bromborough

Salary: Daily pay rate between £105 and £110 paid weekly

Contract: Full-time, long-term role with high temp to perm likelihood

Hirecracker Education are working with a kind and welcoming Primary School right in the heart of Bromborough. We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the Year 4 team.

The Teaching Assistant will spend time helping the whole class, working one-to-one with children, and supporting small groups. They will be there to give pupils confidence, answer questions, and make learning fun.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to learn new skills. It also means being part of the exciting journey of helping Year 4 pupils grow, achieve their best, and get ready for the big step of moving on to secondary school.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the class teacher in controlling classroom behaviour and ensuring that pupils remain on task
  • Assist the class teacher in planning engaging lessons and activities and implementing these into small-group and 1-1 support
  • Promote inclusion and support pupils with individual needs/capabilities and additional needs
  • Encourage a positive, caring learning environment where all pupils feel confident and valued

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school, sports, care, residential support, youth work, mental health, or community setting
  • Must possess good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
