About the Role
Project Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for managing the technical aspects of a manufacturing engineering project from conception to completion, including planning, designing, coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets and timelines, solving technical problems, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires up to 50% travel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engineering Project Management: Create detailed project plans, work schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation strategies. Review or create technical designs, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Communication: Collaborate with management, contractors, and team members to provide project updates, communicate concerns, and manage expectations.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project progress against budget and timelines, identifying potential risks, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Project Implementation: Visit project sites to monitor construction activities, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Analyze technical challenges and develop solutions to overcome obstacles.
Qualifications
- 4 Year Bachelor’s degree, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- PMP Certification or the ability to obtain.
- 3+ years of Engineering or Technical Consulting experience on large capital projects.
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude. Machinery design experience a plus.
- Ability to understand standard engineering documentation.
- Must be a self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to share, accept, and implement new ideas.
- Excellent communication skills.
