About the Role

You’ll lead a focused team of 2 SEO Specialists and 1 Digital PR Executive, driving performance across keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and digital PR. But what truly matters is how these activities translate into measurable commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Performance Management
    • Lead a high-performing SEO team with clear focus on commercial outcomes
    • Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly SEO performance with actionable insights
    • Stay ahead of algorithm updates and lead confident, data-driven responses
    • Deliver commercially focused reports that directly support lead generation goals
  • Technical Excellence & Optimization
    • Identify and prioritize keywords that attract high-converting users, not just volume
    • Audit and improve existing pages for structure, search intent, and conversion performance
    • Collaborate with developers to prioritize technical fixes that deliver maximum business value
    • Monitor Core Web Vitals and overall site health for optimal performance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Champion SEO best practices across all teams from the planning stage
    • Work closely with content, development, and marketing teams to embed SEO strategically
    • Lead training sessions and build internal awareness of effective SEO practices
    • Influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clear, data-driven insights

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing or mentoring an SEO team with demonstrable performance impact
  • Advanced knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO focused on lead generation
  • Expert proficiency with GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Looker Studio, and Screaming Frog
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and explain the commercial "so what" to stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize SEO activities based on commercial value and business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, keyword strategy, and SEO's role in digital marketing
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence across all organizational levels
  • Highly organized, dependable, and focused on delivering measurable business results

Pay range and compensation package

  • Competitive Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 with annual pay reviews
