Hire Space is looking for a high-performing Event Business Development Manager to join our revenue team in London. This isn't just a transactional sales job. You will own the full sales cycle, convert high-intent inbound enquiries, and strategically grow your own book of business through lucrative framework agreements and corporate partnerships. With a realistic, uncapped £60-£80k+ OTE, a sophisticated tech stack, and a product that London's top brands already love, your earning potential is entirely in your hands.

The Role: As a Business Development/Account Executive, you are a core revenue driver. You will navigate the full sales cycle from initial discovery to closing high-value event bookings, while securing long-term loyalty via our premium service tiers (like Hire Space 360). This role balances reactive closing with proactive, strategic hunting:

  • Own and close inbound enquiries from SME and mid-market clients, managing the full cycle from discovery and venue shortlisting to negotiation and closing.
  • Build, grow, and retain a lucrative client portfolio, maximising long-term revenue through upsells, cross-sells, and re-engaging dormant accounts.
  • Identify and secure high-value corporate opportunities, including framework agreements, license fees, and minimum spend contracts.
  • Generate new pipelines through targeted multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, email, phone, and industry networking).
  • Develop strong client relationships and secure repeat business through regular face-to-face meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Sell Hire Space’s event tech platform alongside managed services while maintaining accurate pipeline data in HubSpot CRM.

What's in it for you: We believe in rewarding high performance with an industry-leading benefits package and a culture that values work-life balance.

  • Work-Life Balance: 3pm Friday finishes during BST (average 36-hour working week over the year).
  • Time Off: 32 days holiday allowance (plus long-service increments) + Mental Health Leave + 4 weeks company-paid sick leave.
  • Health & Wellness: Medicash Pro-Active Health Cash Plan & access to the Juno wellbeing platform.
  • Family Friendly: Workplace Nursery Scheme (huge tax savings on childcare fees) + exceptional maternity/paternity packages.
  • Perks: Free nights out in top London venues, £200 home office allowance, Tech & Cycle schemes, and regular team lunches.

The Essentials:

  • Demonstrable experience managing pipelines and hitting/exceeding revenue targets.
  • Comfort with the entire sales cycle; from cold/warm outreach to negotiation and closing.
  • A consultative approach to selling; you ask great questions to find the real pain points.
  • Highly organised and disciplined with CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a massive plus).
  • This is a high-activity, in-person role. You must live within a commutable distance of Central London.

The Bonuses (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Have experience in the events industry.
  • Have experience selling a service, platform, SaaS product, or technology solution.
  • Have knowledge of London venues or corporate event programmes.

Logistics & Hybrid Structure: Our client base is predominantly in London, meaning face-to-face connection is necessary.

  • Office Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are mandatory in-office days at our London HQ (Wednesday is our high-energy team outbound and product training day).
  • Remote Days: Monday and Friday offer WFH flexibility (unless client site visits or events require you in the field).
