The Billings Manager role encompasses and is not limited to:

  • Verifying sales teams’ deals booked
  • Local and International billing for non-Direct Response bookings
  • Timely & accurately generating (and reconciling before mid-month) global revenue
  • Ensuring that all Billing generated complies with company policy
  • Assisting in checking sales teams’ monthly commission
  • Credit check new clients and liaise with sales team and credit controllers
  • Journaling of revenue and deferred income
  • Co-ordinating the billing function of each Magazine Publication/revenue stream, by communicating regularly with the relevant sales person and management
  • Resolving issues arising from actions or events involving administrative functions throughout the progress of a job, from order booking to billing the customer
  • Preparing and processing client credit note requests (once approved)
  • Notifying Credit Control team of sales invoices that are raised and due
  • Co-ordinating the mailing of copy Magazines to clients
  • Systems experience/knowledge ie Sage 200 & ideally some CRM experience
  • Basic-Intermediate Excel ie vlookups, pivot tables, basic formulas etc
  • Ad hoc sales queries addressed
  • Organised individual, able to prioritise, roll up their sleeves and get the job done
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, great communication, able to work within a team (Finance team, sales team, external stakeholders etc)
