Provide leadership, strategic direction, and expert guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to mitigate risks associated with personnel, operations, the environment, and business continuity. The role includes delivering technical HSE support for onshore operations, covering facilities such as the Gas Control Station (GCS), onshore pipelines, and the Main Office Building (MOB), as well as engineering teams involved in onshore projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and performance management for direct reports, setting clear objectives and expectations.
  • Oversee HSE support for onshore operations, engineering, projects, and office teams to maintain high safety and environmental standards.
  • Implement and enhance the HSE Management System to support corporate objectives and regulatory compliance, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Foster a strong risk management culture across operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure safe execution of major onshore construction projects, including new facility integration.
  • Support HSEOI compliance programs and contribute to internal and external audits, maintaining adherence to ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO22301 standards.
  • Lead or support investigations into significant incidents, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Promote awareness and implementation of the Incident Management and Emergency Response program, working with the Emergency and Crisis Manager to train key personnel.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and incident management initiatives.
  • Manage the transition of environmental data from onshore operations to the Environmental Specialist, including emissions monitoring and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as a delegated authority for the Offshore HSE Manager when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant HSE discipline.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in major hazard facility operations, with substantial experience in a senior HSE role.
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, with additional exposure to industries such as civil construction, mining, or nuclear being advantageous.
  • Proven ability to support operational, production, engineering, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing HSE management systems.
  • Experience conducting thorough incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
