This role supports the safe and reliable operation of onshore and offshore pipeline systems by contributing to integrity management, risk evaluation, and inspection planning activities.
Assist in maintaining pipeline integrity frameworks, ensuring accurate data management, and supporting technical decision-making related to asset health and performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting integrity and risk assessments for pipeline systems, identifying threats to safety, environment, and asset reliability.
- Maintain and update pipeline risk registers, ensuring accurate reflection of changing risk profiles.
- Support the development of risk-based inspection (RBI) plans for both onshore and offshore pipelines.
- Review inspection outputs, identify anomalies, and initiate integrity assessments for observed defects.
- Contribute to repair and remediation planning based on inspection findings, risk prioritisation, and budget considerations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external specialists to support inspection programmes and integrity-related activities.
- Perform preliminary fitness-for-service evaluations and define safe operating limits where required.
- Support digital transformation initiatives related to pipeline integrity systems and databases.
- Prepare technical reports summarising integrity status, risks, and recommended actions for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Materials, or equivalent).
- 5–8 years of experience in pipeline inspection and integrity within the oil and gas sector.
- Practical exposure to corrosion management and pipeline defect assessment.
- Experience working with integrity management systems, inspection data, and risk evaluation tools.
- Familiarity with risk-based inspection methodologies and fitness-for-service assessments.
Note: Experience in regulated environments - such as the North Sea, United Kingdom, Norwegian Sector and Australia - would be considered an added advantage.
