Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our workshop team, maintaining and repairing our HGV fleet to a high standard. The Role
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of HGV vehicles, ensuring all fleet vehicles remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. Your duties will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing 6-weekly inspections
- Conducting brake testing and diagnostic testing
- Preparing vehicles for MOT
- Ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy, safe, and compliant
- Completing PMI paperwork and maintaining accurate service records
- Working independently and as part of a workshop team

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with diagnostics and brake testing
- Own tools required (specialist equipment provided)
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach
Desirable Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- Experience working within a plant hire, fleet, or commercial vehicle environment
