The Role: This is a newly created, varied commercial role combining sales support, customer relationship management, account development, and business coordination. Working closely with the National Account Manager, you will support key customer accounts across the UK, help identify new growth opportunities, and play an important role in driving commercial performance. The role is office based in Nottingham, with ad travel to customer sites and company events.
As the National Account Executive, you will:
- Support the management and development of key customer accounts across the UK
- Build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams
- Manage sales enquiries, quotations, pricing requests, and customer follow-ups
- Identify opportunities for sales growth within existing and prospective accounts
- Support strategic account planning and commercial activities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, reporting, and customer data
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity
- Assist with customer meetings, account reviews, and occasional site visits
- Work collaboratively with operations, marketing, and customer service teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of sales targets across a portfolio of customer accounts
- Provide excellent customer service and commercial support
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Support the conversion of opportunities into long-term business growth
- Produce accurate reports, forecasts, and sales updates
- Maintain a proactive and organised approach to account management
- Contribute ideas and insight to support continued business growth
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a B2B sales, account management, or commercial support role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and organised mindset
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience within the tooling, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors would be highly advantageous
- Experience supporting key or national accounts would be beneficial
- Experience working with Amazon would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence required
- Professional, self-motivated, and customer-focused approach
