Company Description: Hire or Buy Group LTD is a local independent Tool Hire & Sales Company that are now looking for an Electrical Workshop Technician to be based and working at both Biggleswade & Little Paxton. We require an enthusiastic, practical & pro-active engineer. This is a workshop-based role, with the primary function to clean, inspect, maintain and repair a very broad range of electrical hire tools and lighting. This is a full-time position and the working week is Monday - Friday 07:30 - 17:00 and will include alternate Saturdays 08:00 - 12:30hrs.
Role Description: The Electrical Workshop Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at our St. Neots and Biggleswade depot. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of equipment.
- Inspecting and testing returning hire equipment.
- PAT Testing.
- Repairing of electrical tools.
- Taking an active role in stock checks and ensuring the parts required for your section are correctly consumed and stocked.
- Day to day management of the Electrical Dept.
Qualifications: Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role within industrial or manufacturing settings. Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics and repairs. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering are preferred.
