They are now looking for a Junior Licensing Officer to join the team — an opportunity well suited to a switched-on early-career professional who wants hands-on deal exposure and more responsibility than a typical junior role offers. This is not a back-office position. From early on, you’ll be directly involved in live commercial discussions and strategic projects.
The role; As Junior Licensing Officer, you will work across multiple active licensing programmes, supporting and progressing discussions with companies worldwide. Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with companies to introduce licensing programmes and move conversations toward executed agreements
- Researching target companies, industry sectors, and products to identify commercial opportunities
- Managing written and verbal communications with multiple counterparties in parallel
- Supporting negotiations and assisting with the execution of licence agreements
- Assisting with enforcement and dispute-related activities across multiple jurisdictions
- Contributing to broader business development and strategy initiatives
This role is ideal for a bright, commercially minded early-career candidate who enjoys learning quickly, thinking analytically, and dealing directly with external stakeholders.
My client is looking for someone with:
- Educated to degree level, possibly with an IP / Legal or Copyright background
- 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial, technical, legal, consulting, IP, or sales-adjacent role
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong analytical skills, organisation, and attention to detail
- Confidence handling multiple workstreams and professional conversations
This role is predominantly office based (4 days a week) with one day a week working from home. Starting salary up to 35K plus benefits.
