Are you an organised and enthusiastic events professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a City based B2B Media Co is looking for an Events Manager to join a busy team and take responsibility for the planning and delivery of a varied portfolio of conferences and awards events, from initial planning and coordination through to live event delivery and post-event evaluation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, working with clients, speakers, sponsors and suppliers, and seeing an event come together from start to finish.
The Role:
You'll play a key role in delivering a range of conferences and awards programmes, managing logistics, suppliers, speakers and stakeholders to ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers an excellent experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing events from initial planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation
- Creating and maintaining event plans, timelines, budgets and project documentation
- Managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
- Sourcing and coordinating venues, AV, production, catering and other suppliers
- Coordinating speakers, moderators, panellists, judges, sponsors, presenters and VIP guests
- Supporting the development of conference programmes, agendas and event content
- Managing the awards process, including entries, judging, nominees and ceremony arrangements
- Coordinating event logistics including registration, room layouts, staging, branding and signage
- Working closely with marketing and content teams to support delegate engagement and attendance
- Ensuring sponsorship commitments and deliverables are successfully delivered
- Taking a lead role on-site, resolving issues quickly and ensuring events run smoothly
- Supporting post-event reviews and identifying improvements for future events
We're looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience in events, ideally within conferences, awards, corporate events, media or a similar environment. Experience of conferences, awards ceremonies, sponsorship, event-management platforms or working with senior speakers would be advantageous.
Starting salary: £30,000–£32,000
