The successful candidate will enjoy combining creative content production with hands-on digital management, working across websites, email marketing, social media, video and promotional campaigns.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Membership & Engagement, you will play a key role in delivering the organisation's day-to-day communications, marketing and digital activity.

Working closely with colleagues across the membership, engagement and events teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, creating and publishing engaging content across the website, email communications and social media channels.
  • Managing and maintaining website content through a CMS, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and well structured.
  • Developing creative marketing materials, digital assets and campaign content for different audiences and initiatives.
  • Coordinating promotional campaigns for conferences, events, webinars and educational programmes.
  • Producing and editing video and multimedia content to support member communications and organisational campaigns.
  • Supporting the production of publications and other key creative projects, including editorial, design and publishing activity.
  • Monitoring digital engagement and campaign performance, using analytics and audience insight to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Developing and maintaining reusable digital templates and creative assets.
  • Working with external digital, creative and media suppliers.
  • Supporting the organisation at conferences and events as required.
  • The Candidate

We are seeking a proactive and creative communications and marketing professional with experience across digital channels and content production.

You will ideally have

  • Proven experience in a communications, marketing or digital role, preferably within a membership organisation, charity or not-for-profit environment.
  • Experience managing website content through a CMS, including making structural and editorial improvements.
  • Excellent copywriting, creative writing, proofreading and editorial skills.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms and social media scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Practical video production and editing skills, with an understanding of engaging visual content.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • An understanding of GDPR, digital accessibility and good data practices.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to pick up new digital platforms quickly.

Experience of marketing events, webinars or educational programmes would be advantageous, but is not essential, as would knowledge of Canva, Kentico CMS or Zoho CRM.

Personal Attributes

You will be organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and recommend improvements.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, external partners and volunteers are essential.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to make a real contribution to an organisation's communications, digital development and member engagement.
