Job Description

Café Barista / F&B Assistant – £27,000 excellent benefits

A beautiful retirement village in central London with vast grounds and various Food & Beverage outlets, including; Coffee Shop / Café, Restaurant, Main dinning room, events etc, is looking for a Café F&B Assistant to work in their lovely coffee shop / Café. You will be serving various beverages and light lunches / snacks, to the pensioners, staff, visitors and guests, ensuring empathy and high customer service at all times.

SALARY ETC:

  • £27,000 excellent benefits that include enhanced holidays, private healthcare, on-site discounts, free events, cycle to work scheme, etc.
  • Central London
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Working 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis.
  • Shifts will be 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Natural flair for excellent service, with an understanding of requirements for the elderly / disabled
  • Some experience in a similar post, with good barista skills and food and beverage service.
  • Well presented and good communication skills
  • A friendly and bubbly personality, with a caring approach and smart presentation.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • To ensure a friendly service to the pensioners/residents, staff and guests.
  • To set tables with crockery, cutlery, place mats, condiments, menus and any other items required
  • Service of food & beverage
  • Sale and Stock accountability of all food and drinks.
  • Clearing and cleaning of glasses
  • Cash accountability for all sales.
  • Ordering and checking stock levels for all food and beverage items.
  • Responsible for security of the facility including opening and closing procedures and to perform duties honestly and have a keen awareness of security matters.
  • Clear tables and stack the dirty items on trolleys for transportation to the plate wash
  • To maintain inventory
  • To clean tables and chairs
  • To polish crockery, glasses and cutlery ensuring they are fit for use.
  • To clean and fill condiment containers
