The role is to assist with the preparation, maintenance and delivery of audio and lighting systems for Hire Frequencies’s busy hire department. The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training/support will be given. Hire Frequencies Ltd is an established business based in Bounds Green, who specialise in Audio Visual equipment rentals and event production in London and the South of England. Our work includes delivering and installing Audio Visual equipment to music festivals, live music events, conferences and awards dinners. We also cater for smaller events such as hiring DJ equipment and speakers for weddings and parties.
This job would suit highly energetic individuals who are physically fit, and are comfortable driving in London whilst dropping equipment to venues across the Capital. On occasions the role will also require carrying out collections in the evening. A basic knowledge of sound systems, DJ equipment and lighting is not essential but will put you in a good position to succeed. The successful candidate will be happy working alone and as part of a team, and be able to deal with pressure when we’re busy. They will also have strong communication skills and be able to deliver excellent customer service to a wide range of clients.
Main Responsibilities- Multi-drop van driving duties around the local and surrounding areas
- Prepare and load equipment for delivery
- Load and unload delivery courier/transport vehicles containing a variety of equipment
- Ensure equipment is delivered within time lines and with appropriate packaging and documentation
- Do regular checks on warehouse vehicles for fluid levels, proper tyre pressure and cleanliness, report potential safety issues or service needs
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of audio systems within the warehouse
- Assist in general warehouse operation and organisation
- Assist with stock management
- Report to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment
- Assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training/support will be given
- Educated to GCSE level, with A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- At least two years driving experience
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Right to work and remain in the UK
- Confident and logistical van driver
- Flexibility and willingness to work unsociable hours
- Keen interest and knowledge in audio
- Experience of working within a similar role would be advantageous, together with a willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Drivers are required to be 25 or over for insurance purposes
