Join us as a Freelance Driver & Setup Technician at Hire Frequencies Ltd. The role involves assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and delivery of Audio Visual equipment for our busy hire department. Hire Frequencies Ltd is based in Bounds Green, London, specializing in AV equipment rentals and event production across London and the South of England. Our work includes delivering and installing AV equipment for music festivals, live music events, conferences, and awards dinners. We also cater to smaller events like weddings and parties. Full training and support will be provided for other roles within the operation.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for highly energetic, physically fit individuals comfortable with driving in London and dropping equipment at various venues. The role may require carrying out collections in the evening. Basic knowledge of sound systems, DJ equipment, and lighting is beneficial but not essential. The ideal candidate can work independently and in a team, handle pressure, and deliver excellent customer service with strong communication skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Multi-drop van driving duties around local and surrounding areas.
- Preparing and loading equipment for delivery.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles with various equipment.
- Ensuring timely delivery with proper packaging and documentation.
- Conducting regular checks on warehouse vehicles for safety and maintenance.
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of audio systems within the warehouse.
- Supporting general warehouse operations and stock management.
- Reporting any anomalies, lost, stolen, or damaged equipment to managers.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
- At least two years of driving experience.
Professional & Personal Skills
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Confident and logistical van driver.
- Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours.
- Interest and knowledge in audio equipment.
- Experience in a similar role is advantageous; willingness to learn is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years holding a driving license.
