The School of Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to teach and provide pastoral support on the Doctorate programme in Clinical Psychology.
The successful candidate will deliver a range of clinical and academic activities including clinical skills teaching and assessment, pastoral support for trainees and inter-professional psychology education. The successful candidate will also assist with placement monitoring duties and research supervision.
We are looking for a part-time (0.4 FTE) practitioner psychologist, who is keen to develop their skills in other areas and is passionate about maintaining standards in their profession.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious and innovative team whose aim is to deliver excellence in Clinical Psychology training. The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council.
About the person:
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology accredited by BPS, or equivalent.
- Professional qualification in Clinical Psychology and eligible for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Relevant clinical / research / supervision experience and have undertaken supervision training.
- Can demonstrate the potential to make a significant contribution to the teaching of clinical and professional practice aspects of the DClinPsy Programme including training in one or more psychotherapeutic approaches.
