HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join the team in our Henley Centre. The role is full‑time, permanent, and offers a negotiable salary based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on all makes and models of vehicles
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs
- Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment
- Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems
- Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for necessary repairs or adjustments
- Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found
- Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures
- Maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices
- Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
- Undertake any additional duties (within reason) for efficient store operation
- Carry out administration duties and assist with regular stock checks in accordance with company policy
Qualifications
- Experience within a fast‑fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Valid MOT Tester licence is essential
- Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience
- Full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points
