We are recruiting for a Lead Delivery Manager to support our mission. We work at the intersection of strategy, design, and technology to solve complex problems and create lasting value. Our collaborative and agile culture empowers our teams to make a genuine impact. As a Lead Delivery Manager, you will play an important role in making Hippo the best consultancy out there. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team combining data, design, product, delivery, analysis, and engineering to deliver bespoke digital services that make a positive and meaningful impact on organisations and society. You will act as a Lead Consultant to deliver Delivery Management services to our clients. You will be a pro at navigating complex delivery landscapes, a confident manager of people, and a champion for high-performance team culture. You will lead delivery across multiple project streams, ensuring our methodologies are consistent and our strategic goals are achieved. Your Role in a Nutshell * Take the lead in investigating complex delivery challenges and defining the high-level delivery strategy across a program of work. * Lead workshops and planning sessions with senior stakeholders to agree on clear roadmaps, milestones, and success criteria. * Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with our clients, acting as a trusted advisor on delivery maturity and organisational agility. * Directly manage, coach, and support other Delivery Managers, helping them grow their skills and progress their careers. * Work with Account Leaders and Client Directors to ensure delivery resources are effectively planned and integrated into the broader account strategy. * Take a leading role in shaping Hippo's Delivery community by sharing innovative methods and contributing to our industry presence through blogs or events. About The Candidate Essential Experience * Extensive experience leading delivery across whole programs, guiding the translation of complex strategic goals into actionable delivery plans. * Proven ability to lead the way in defining delivery standards and governing agile processes across multiple project teams. * Experience coaching and guiding other practitioners on the best ways to manage dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations. * Expertise in using and coaching others on advanced delivery metrics, forecasting, and visualization tools to show program health. * Experience managing large‑scale delivery by focusing on client value and ensuring solutions meet strategic needs across multiple products. Desirable Experience * Ability to quickly pivot delivery strategy if client priorities, budgets, or technical landscapes change. * Experience researching and implementing new delivery frameworks and methodologies (e.g., scaling frameworks or DevOps culture) without needing guidance. * Proven ability to foster a culture of open communication and accountability within the delivery community to ensure high standards. Hippo Locations We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. We are looking for talent nationwide but require candidates to be located within reasonable travelling distance of one of our offices. You may need to work on‑site at a Hippo office or at an in‑ or out‑of‑town client location for a number of days per week, depending on the client, and be open to travel at least two days per week.
