Registered Manager – Children\’s Residential Home | Kirby

Salary: £50,000

Hippo Staffing Solutions are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager / Residential Children\’s Home Manager on behlaf of our client to lead a high-quality Children\’s Residential Home in Kirby, near Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, committed leader to shape a stable, nurturing home for young people aged 11-16.

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the home\’s operation, ensuring full Ofsted compliance, leading the staff team, and delivering exceptional, child-centred residential care. We are seeking someone who can bring strong leadership, safeguarding expertise, and a real passion for improving children\’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational running of the Children\’s Residential Home.
• Ensure the home meets Ofsted standards and fully complies with safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
• Manage, supervise, and develop staff including Deputies, Seniors and Support Workers.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support, and young people\’s outcomes.
• Build a nurturing, family-style environment that promotes stability and emotional wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
• Manage rotas, resources, and the home\’s budget effectively to ensure safe staffing levels.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a Children\’s Home.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards).
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience working within Ofsted-regulated services.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred residential care.
